 Here at Skim Hawaii we are all about sharing our passion for the ocean and outdoors whilst creating memories that will last a lifetime. We are locally owned and operated by Big Wave Surfer/ Professional Skimboarder Sean McClenahan. We teach confidence, ocean safety, about local culture and the history of Hawaii. Sean moved to Maui on a one way ticket at the age of 18 with a backpack, surfboard and a dream to chase the giant winter swells of Hawaii. After enjoying the Maui/Oahu lifestyle for the last twenty four years he is renown for his positive energy, working with children/families, organizing beach clean ups, and being the first person to ever surf on his skimboard at the world famous surf break Pe’ahi, aka “Jaws.” Helping to guide both local Groms as well as visitors from around the world, Sean has also taught his own children to surf/skim with his 12 year old son currently one of the top ranked surfers for his age divison in the entire State Of Hawaii. Put the electronics away, get off the couch, come shred with us or check out some of the breathtaking sites the islands have to offer.
